Dr. S Pandian

Dr. S Pandian is a Cardiologist based in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, with over 15 years of experience. He is available for consultation at Pandian Hospital, located at North Perumal Maistry Street. He has had a long academic association with Madurai Medical College, having obtained his MBBS degree (1991), DCH in Pediatrics (1992), MD in General Medicine (1997) and DM in Cardiology (2004) from this institution. From 2005-2007 he studied and trained in Interventional Cardiology at Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bangalore.

Dr. Pandian has extensive exposure in coronary interventions, peripheral interventions, valvuloplasties, device closure of congenital heart defects, cardiac pacing & electrophysiology, and aortic interventions. He has performed hundreds of cardiac catheterisation procedures including angioplasty, as assistant as well as independently. Dr. Pandian is much experienced in diagnostics as well, spanning a range of procedures such as echocardiography, exercise testing, nuclear imaging and electrophysiological studies including the latest Ensite 3D cardiac mapping system and unassisted therapeutic ablative procedures. 

Dr. Pandian has demonstrated his commitment to society with his involvement in multiple community medical and cardiac camps, which included free treatment for patients in rural areas of Tamil Nadu. He has also been instrumental in organising cardiac camps to screen patients for heart disease, as a part of Narayana Hrudayalaya programmes. Dr. Pandian aims to be a self-directed professional always, with good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, who builds consensus and promotes teamwork.
